Sign Hero Direct Wire Installation Guide
Sign Hero Direct Wire delivers socket-free LED lighting that’s designed to install quickly and easily. No complicated calculations. No specialized expertise. Just mount the lamps, connect up to 150 feet on a single feed, and you’re done. It’s ideal for both new builds and retrofits. Just follow these steps for the simplest sign install you can do.

Always put safety first. Be aware of your surroundings and make sure you’re wearing proper safety equipment.
➊ Mark where lamps should go. See diagram below for typical spacing recommendations.
➋ Install mounts on top and bottom of
cabinet interior. Install Keystone spring-loaded brackets (accessory) on top and bottom.
➌ Place each tube in installed mounts.
➍ Connect leader cable to incoming power (120-277V). Leader cable sold separately.
➎ Connect leader cable to first lamp’s connector.
➏ Connect lamps together with waterproof cables. You can power up to 150’ on a single feed.
➐ Add sealing cap to last lamp in run.
➑ Adjust Power Select and Color Select outputs to your desired settings.

➊ Open old sign cabinet and remove existing tubes.
➋ Cut input and output wires on ballast.
➌ Mount tubes in existing sockets or use spring- loaded brackets (available as accessories) if sockets are unable to hold lamp.
➍ Bypass the ballast and connect power directly to leader cable.
➎ Connect the leader cable to the first tube. Connect wire end of leader cable to 120V line input.
➏ Connect lamps together with waterproof cables.
➐ Add sealing cap to last lamp in run.
➑ Adjust Power Select and Color Select outputs to your desired settings.
➒ Turn on power. Your installation is now complete.
