FAQ’s for Gemini’s Products and Capabilities

-Why GemTrim-Pronto/Gemini? Gemini is a stable manufacturer since 1964 that strives to produce quality products into the sign supply industry, while providing a great customer experience. Currently Gemini has over 20,000 rolls of GemTrim in inventory with 50,000 Pronto blanks, along with a robust inventory of raw materials on hand. - What is Gemini’s warranty? Lifetime Guarantee! -What type of customer support can we expect? Gemini has an outside Field Sales Team throughout the country along with a Sales Channel Manager and Product Manager to support our distribution partners. This team is ready and willing to support Glantz with trainings, questions and available for visits if so desired. We also have a dedicated customer service team that will support the Glantz team from our headquarters in Cannon Falls, MN along with team members in our Neustadt, Canada and Liberty Lake, Washington locations. -Does Gemini sell direct? Gemini’s GemTrim, Pronto (changeable copy) and Duets (engraving material) are only sold through sign supply distribution and has for the past three years. -Will Gemini do custom colors of trim cap and what is the process? Yes, we do provide custom colors, with a minimum quantity of 9,000’ for ¾” and 1” and 10,000’ for 2”. We would prefer 3 physical color chips to match. (one goes to our colorant supplier; one goes to production and one stays with sales) The sample is submitted to our colorant supplier where a small batch of colorant will be made. Gemini will then extrude a roll of GemTrim and send it to you for customer approval. This part of the process takes about 3-5 weeks. Once the color is approved then the colorant will be commercialized and made in a bulk batch. Once Gemini receives the bulk colorant, we will schedule the run. This part of the process takes about 4-6 weeks. -GemTrim has been known to be stiffer than The competitors, is that accurate? The GemTrim resin formulation was changed 3 years ago to address that issue. Based on an analysis from our raw material supplier and through internal testing we are confident that they are compatible. Testing is available for review. The actual profile was also slightly changed to again provide a more pliable product. -How well does the GemTrim adhere? We have always had sufficient adhesion and with a change to the profile it has provided even more surface area to adhere to. -What adhesive is recommended to use with GemTrim? Weld On 4, Weld On 16 -How many standard colors are available? 28 colors in ¾”, 31 colors in 1”, 10 colors in 2” -What is Gemini’s in-house testing capabilities? We have UV acceleration (12-16-week process), salt and fog, along with many forms of material impact testing where we can incorporate low and high temperatures.
