GENERAL INFORMATION PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE WORKING WITH BEBONDUSA
Disclaimer The following recommendations and product data are based on information that we consider to be accurate and reliable. However, since there are many factors beyond our control (skill, judgment, equipment, tools), the suggestions contained in this document are provided without guarantee. We recommend that you determine the suitability of both the material and recommendations before adopting them as your own. General handling Pallets need to be handled carefully during transport and unloading. Especially for the handling of large formats the individual panels should only be lifted off the pallet by two people holding all four corners. Although panels are shipped with protective masking, lift one panel completely off the next panel to avoid scratches. Do not slide or drag one panel across another. We recommend carrying the panels vertically with two people to prevent warping, and wearing gloves to avoid staining and scratching. Storage Do not stack materials on or in contact with beBond USA to avoid staining, denting, or scratching. Storage temperatures should not exceed 120ºF. Avoid storing for longer than 6 months. Protect beBond USA pallets against rain, wetness, spray water, and condensation (e.g. when transporting cold panels to warmer rooms) at any time while storing. For short term storage between two processing steps, we recommend underlying the sheets with polystyrene or foam wedges. Batch identity We strongly recommend using material of the same production batch to reach an ideal result with a uniform color shade. Protective film Protective film on both sides protects the lacquered beBond USA surfaces against damages that can occur during transportation, storage, processing or installation. We recommend removing the protective film from the sheets as soon as possible after installation in order to avoid residues of glue sticking to the surface due to radiation and outdoor exposure. The protective films and the panel surfaces may not be marked using ink (marker), adhesive tapes or stickers, as the lacquered surfaces could be damaged by solvents or plasticizers. Surface preparation beBond USA protective, peelable mask does not leave a residue which reduces cleaning time and eliminates the risk of interference with printing. Clean panels with a soft, color-free, lint-free cloth moistened with 99% Isopropyl alcohol prior to applying any graphics or direct printing. Wipe the panel in a single direct motion, which prevents particles, smudges and fingerprints from interfering with the print. Do not clean hot surfaces greater than 104ºF as the quick drying process may cause blemishes. Installation To avoid possible reflection differences (for metallic colors) we recommended installing the panels in the same direction as marked on the protective film. Expansion of beBond USA sheets As beBond USA is used at temperatures between -58ºF and +176ºF, it is subject to thermal expansion or shrinking which should be considered when choosing the fixing system, fasteners and sealing.
